Approximately 11 of our members met at the Grovetown Lagoon, 8am with several opportunities for photographing the area. Ideally for the light we should have met at least an hour earlier, however as you can see below, some great images were taken. The lagoon is under development and well worth another visit at some time either by oneself or as a group and being so close to town it's a good option. Most of us scattered around the area, looking for birds, landscapes etc, including a look at the Maori cemetery. A lovely Heron positioned itself on a log right in front of us quite unconcerned by our presence. Before leaving for home around 10.30am we met for coffee and a chat on the seat overlooking the lagoon. enjoying the sun and view.
