Clarence River Field Trip Report

It was a crisp clear winter’s day…….

So a group of hardy photographers headed south down the earthquake damaged state highway One.  The relaxed time frame allowed for frequent photography stops, winter vineyards, lakes and highland cows. The first met up was at Ward beach, where some hardy nutcases were surfing. Heading further south the road showed signs of earthquake damage and to photographers’ delight there impressive road and rail rebuilding works.

After a refreshment stop we headed inland following the Clarence River.  This is an area with an abundance of postcard scenery, with patches of earthquake damage.
